In Honour of My Birthday

I may or may not have fallen slightly behind on these blogging bits. But, for good reason! I promise.

Aside from Charles Interior being busy...& we'll say...collaborating (for now) with another firm...I have been neck deep working on one of the new businesses. I'm not going to get into much detail about it right now, but it is a tech start-up, a subscription based app. I've been working on it for over a year, but it has gone through some changes. Due to how much was going on at Charles Interior, it was challenging to give it my full attention. So, recently I have been working on prioritizing time for it, by changing the structure of how I work to properly accommodate that, which...has had me pretty busy. I've also been working with a coach from Tony Robbins (Thank you Tal) & this inspiring dude I met on TikTok, Matt...to keep my growth process going strong. If we're not growing...we're slowing.

Not to mention the How to Become an Interior Designer Essentials Package- which is free until end of day today but in honour of my birthday will remain 37% off for the next 3 months! Code Birthday37

Oh, & about my birthday. I sent myself off, as a gift to me, to Colombia for what I thought was a vacation with yoga in the mornings. (I also thought it was on the beach, & very much packed accordingly...turns out we were in the mountains...& what I packed was useless.) I got SO lucky...that I was wrong about what this trip was. It was jam packed schedule led by Coach Mulan & Javier from Omechaye- an actual yogi, catered vegan/vegetarian healthy meals, perfectly cultivated yoga with a building plan to slowly get our bodies to open up & heal, amazing NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) coaching with guided meditation & mindset exercises...spa treatments...therapy horses outside our doors, gravitating to the music we had...

Five days in the Colombia with 14 of the most amazing human beings I've had the pleasure of meeting & going through one of the most impactful growth spurts I've ever (somewhat accidentally) gone through. I'll be doing some posts on my socials (if you aren't following on there...be sure to do that!) but, here's a bit that I got from this trip, & some photos of this bit of heaven at Anahata Retreat:

  • The more you think about something, the more chance it has to be real. (Where the mind goes, energy flows.)

  • Don't let your personal reality, impact your future reality. (And, don't ruin today because of what you THINK tomorrow will be.)

  • Our bodies will never support us in our journeys, it will always fight us. Our environments & time may do the same. Learn to plan for that, instead of get stumped by it.

  • If I overcome myself, I can overcome anything.

  • We are never stuck, but we may be unsure of a direction to move our energy in next.

  • I don't have to be afraid to fail, I should be afraid to fail for reasons that don't make me proud.

  • Living life from a place of constantly 'creating', is the most powerful place to lead from.
