The thing with gifting is that we have a habit of either giving what we would want, or what's trending. Every once in a while we get it right & gift for the giftee, but even then...do we get it right?
And as interior design enthusiasts, we may want to give a gift that fits our recipient, but also says, "obviously a designer thought of this".

So, I've put together a quick list of Amazon easy gifts that can highlight that you think & operate with an interior designers brain, without being trendy, and without needing to worry about the gift clashing with someone's personal style, without being expensive and very importantly, without having to worry about size or scale. (A misstep of many design & decor related gifting.)
Number one - The most basic but never possible to overdo it gift...a glass vase. I've picked this one for it's size, many people lack large vases. For it's style, the fluting does happen to be trending but it's actually an old classic. It's a particular style that can blend with so many interior styles well, so it's a pretty safe bet.
Number two - not for everyone but...a lot about design is things being organized & just making more sense in a way that is visually pleasing. There may be a female in your life that aims for that kind of lifestyle, and these swimwear/lingerie/silk pj set hangers are the perfect solution to a problem most people don't even think of! Why should the articles of clothing that can make us feel the sexiest, be stuffed into drawers? No, we need constant reminders of the feminine power & beauty we hold - on display for ourselves. Plus, anything in your closet that resembles a high end boutique store, is subconscious messaging of our value. Again, this gift is not for everyone, but you and I both know someone who would LOVE this, and doesn't know the option even exists.

Number three - Also a basic safe bet but here's the thing...I would so rather you be "classic" than show up with a try to hard option that misses the mark. Glass serving bowls don't go out of style, if someone doesn't host dinners, they make perfect decor on a shelf. The simplicity allows inter design flow and it's timeless. Plus...bring it filled with a holiday sweet treat like these maple candies! (A favorite in our family for generations.)
Number four - This gift is for an interior design enthusiast. It works as decor, and education. A decorative interior design book is the perfect way to show someone you support their interests & goals! There are many options, this is just one.

Lastly, a unique take on a classic, interactive gift. Find a table game that works as a decor piece, and group fun...but make it unique ("of course an interior designer found this") like this hand carved SQUARE connect four game!
And of course, a gift for yourself...yes, I think I will continue to drop golden eggs for those who read the blog...get the "Bible" design tool...for 90% off by using this code: SNOWFLAKE
Hope this is helpful! Best wishes to you & your loved ones this holiday season.
